Cartagena is close to full capacity, filled with tourists and visitors this Easter, thanks to the popularity of processions and the rise of sports tourism. The municipality exceeds on the most important days of this internationally renowned tourist festival 90% occupancy in hotels and apartments. This is due to the pull of processions and the celebration of sports events. Additionally, the good weather forecasted for this weekend is expected to provide a boost to last-minute reservations.

To these good numbers, the largest disembarkation of cruise passengers in the history of the port of Cartagena has also been added, which today, Wednesday, April 16, has a quintuple scale of cruises, with 9,000 passengers. Throughout Easter, around 17,000 cruise passengers will visit Cartagena, aboard 13 ships. Good Friday will have a triple scale, Holy Saturday a double scale, and Easter Sunday a cruise.

The start of Easter in Good Friday also brought a double scale of cruises to the city. Additionally, on that day, coinciding with the celebration of the patron saint, all the museums managed by the City Council through Cartagena Puerto de Culturas and the Fundación Teatro Romano added more than 4,000 free visits, of which 1,500 were foreigners.
