Plasmapheresis, the procedure by which plasma is extracted from the blood, is essential for the treatment of various diseases such as some autoimmune diseases, kidney diseases, and in transplant patients. The Regional Blood Donation Center is intensifying its campaign during the summer with over 120 donation points set up and mobile units that will travel throughout the region, including the beaches. These initiatives aim to ensure a constant supply of blood components and raise awareness among the population about the importance of donating to save lives.
