Cartagena experiences a magical and inclusive weekend until March 23. The third edition of the Cartagena International Magic Festival brings together the most renowned magicians nationally and internationally. The initiative, in collaboration with the City Council, offers free shows in Juncos Park and Icue Square, as well as two major galas at Luzzy and El Batel auditoriums.

Additionally, this weekend also features the XV Senior Fair. Juan XXIII Square hosts this event organized by the City Council with over 70 activities planned. The aim is to promote intergenerational coexistence so that children and seniors can enjoy workshops, games, adapted gymnastics, musical performances, and the Golden Gala on Saturday, March 22, starting at 12:00, presented by Antonio Hidalgo. Furthermore, Close Culture, the initiative developed by the City Council, continues to carry out activities in the neighborhoods and districts of the municipality. This weekend, it hosts the Nomadic Puppeteers Festival in La Manga. The art exhibitions that can be visited for free in the city’s exhibition halls also continue.

The Cartagena Gastronomic Destination Fair scheduled for March 21 and 22 has been postponed to a new date due to weather conditions. The event, organized by the City Council, will showcase some of the most well-known local products such as marinera or asiático. The event will feature various food stands on the Port esplanade.

Cartagena is Magic Festival. Close-up magic gala at 8:30 p.m. at Luzzy. The third international magic festival will surprise spectators with this show where renowned magicians will perform card magic, micro-magic, and salon magic. Sold out tickets.

Magic. Abraham Gallego presents «Do powers exist?» at 9:00 p.m. at the El Algar Circus Theater. Through impactful and entertaining magic, mentalism, and hypnosis experiences, mentalist Abraham Gallego will try to address questions about the existence of magical powers. II Beneficial National Open of Sports Fishing from Anchored Boat at the Cartagena Sailing Club. About 40 of the best national fishermen in this category will participate in this event benefiting AFACMUR, the Association of Families with Children with Cancer in the Region of Murcia.

Nomadic Puppeteers Festival in La Manga. This new initiative, included in the Close Culture program of the City Council, has planned the following free activities:
- Theater. Performance of Lullaby at 12:00 at the La Manga Neighbors’ Association.
- Family show A circus bridge at 5:30 p.m. at Cavanna Square
- Performance of Small Theater: The Song (drama) and The Dispute (comedy). At 8:00 p.m. from the La Manga Neighbors’ Association

Guided tour of the Glass Museum of Santa Lucía at 11:00 a.m. Every fourth Saturday of the month, this space launches Muvi Open Studios, an initiative that offers this tour in the morning and free concerts in the afternoon. Tickets for the tours are priced at 4 euros and registrations are done at

Family activity ‘Festum Romae’ at 11:30 a.m. at Juan XXIII Square. This proposal is a circus tale where the scenography turns 180 degrees to make the viewer an accomplice and witness to the tasks, routines, and games that the protagonist engages in. It is a display of circus technique and humor carried out by a single character.

Cartagena is Magic Festival. Street magic show at Juncos Park at 12:00 p.m. Children and adults will enjoy different magic acts on the street. Free access.

Muvi Open Studios, Mark Fill Concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Glass Museum of Santa Lucía. Every fourth Saturday of the month, this space offers different musical performances. Interested individuals can enjoy live music and glassblowing exhibitions. Free entry, subject to capacity.

Family musical ‘Hansel and Gretel: the final battle’ at 7:00 p.m. at the El Algar Circus Theater. The little ones will discover this original story where they will witness Hansel and Gretel, 20 years after that well-known story, embarking on another thrilling adventure. Volleyball. FC Cartagena Algar Surmenor – Medsur Finestrat Elche Camporrosso at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Palace. The Cartagena women’s team bids farewell to the league at home with this match. There will be surprises and raffles for attendees.

Religious Music Cycle at 7:45 p.m. at the María Reina de los Corazones parish (Santa Ana Industrial Park). The Carthagonova Polyphonic Choir opens a new edition of this initiative organized by the Cartagena City Council’s Culture Department. Free entry, subject to capacity.

Poetic recital ‘Teresa’s journey’ at 8:00 p.m. at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center. This is the premiere of this proposal by La Red Teatro that pays tribute to the Cartagena writer Maria Teresa Cervantes. Spectators will take a poetic and sentimental journey through the artist’s life, marked by different places and historical and personal circumstances. Free entry, subject to capacity.
