Throughout Saturday, March 1, the rain in Cartagena, which occurred steadily and at times intensively, caused numerous incidents and water accumulation in some streets, although it did not result in any serious incidents. According to rain gauge records, accumulated water exceeded 100 liters per square meter in stations like Tentegorra, where 106.4 l/m were measured, and Cabezo Beaza, with 105 l/m. As stated by the Councilor for Infrastructure and Urbanism, Diego Ortega, «Despite the significant rainfall yesterday, the infrastructures responded reasonably well and the water that accumulated in some streets during the most intense rain moments was drained by the sanitation network.»
