The president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, receives the Territorio de Honor Biznaga from the Malaga Film Festival 2025.
The president of the Region, Fernando López Miras, received today at the City Hall of Malaga the Silver Biznaga for the Region of Murcia from the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, and highlighted the strength of the audiovisual sector in the Region, positioning it as a territory «that can accommodate a huge, diverse, unique, and extraordinary filming location».
«Today, I have the immense honor of representing men and women who sacrifice, strive, and are making the audiovisual industry a true engine for the Region of Murcia,» said the president, reaffirming that, on one hand, they are creating opportunities and jobs and, on the other hand, reputation and prestige, making them «the best ambassadors of the Region of Murcia.»
The Region of Murcia is the protagonist of the Territorios MAFIZ section, the industry area of the Malaga Film Festival, which allows the participation of 15 regional projects in the various events of the festival, in addition to the Murcian audiovisual delegation having a full program of relationship and business activities.
Throughout the week and coordinated by the Region of Murcia Film Commission and the Malaga Film Festival, the Autonomous Community and its professionals will showcase the opportunities and facilities offered to film productions and investments in the audiovisual sector, as well as various recent productions.
For López Miras, «being the invited community in the fourth edition of Territorios MAFIZ, the industry area of the Festival, is a very important step for us in the roadmap we have set in our enhancement strategy.» Thus, he showed the commitment of the regional government to «facilitate that talent has the opportunity to progress and reach the world, opening borders.»
In this line, he referred to the roadmap of the regional government in the audiovisual field «to continue supporting» the audiovisual sector of the Region of Murcia, such as the creation of the Region of Murcia Film Commission, launched two years ago.

He also mentioned other actors and actresses who, according to the president, «are synonymous with an unparalleled human factor, great professionals in the audiovisual sector with everything necessary to achieve our goals.»
The MAFIZ brings together this year 1,700 professionals from 60 countries, including 959 distributors or producers, as well as 25 sales agents and 48 delegates from international film festivals.
