The Cartagena City Council has launched an initiative to strengthen the maintenance of three of the city’s main roundabouts with the aim of optimizing their condition and contributing to both road safety and urban image. The work began at the Los Patojos roundabout and continued at Las Tejeras and 1900.

These infrastructures, located at strategic access points to the city, are crossed daily by thousands of drivers and residents. Due to their large size and high traffic, their proper maintenance is crucial to ensure safe and smooth circulation.

The tasks have included clearing vegetation, pruning and trimming of trees, as well as the removal of plant debris. In addition, the possibility of complementing these actions with the planting of new species is being studied, thus contributing to the beautification of the surroundings.

The regular maintenance of these spaces not only enhances their aesthetics, but also increases visibility for drivers, reducing risks and promoting safer mobility at these key points in the city.

With this initiative, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to the conservation and improvement of urban space, ensuring that essential infrastructures like these roundabouts remain in optimal conditions for the transit and enjoyment of residents.
