Política Social celebra la segunda edición de ‘La Seda Fest’ con una veintena de actividades gratuitas para toda la familia
El Jardín de la Seda de Murcia se convertirá en un espacio de encuentro familiar este sábado, 17 de mayo, con motivo del Día Internacional de las Familias

La Consejería de Política Social, Familias e Igualdad celebra este sábado, 17 de mayo, la segunda edición de ‘La Seda Fest’. Un espacio de ocio y entretenimiento al aire libre que la Comunidad organiza con motivo del Día Internacional de las Familias, con una veintena de actividades gratuitas.
Así lo anunció la consejera, Conchita Ruiz, during the Festival de Las Familias, que ha organizado hoy el Centro de Educación Infantil ‘AEPIO’, de Murcia, con la participación de más de 150 niños, niñas y familiares.
Ruiz destacó que “las familias son el pilar fundamental de cualquier sociedad y, very especialmente, de la Región de Murcia, porque se trata del núcleo de protección y de educación en valores más importante que tiene una persona. Por eso, desde el Gobierno regional trabajamos por proteger y apoyar a las familias, ya que entendemos que, gracias a ellas, avanzamos como sociedad y se crean relevos generacionales más comprometidos con la inclusión, el respeto y la diversidad”.
Por este motivo, la titular de Política Social invited a todas las familias de la Región a participar en esta jornada festiva que se celebrará en el Jardín de La Seda de Murcia, que contará con exhibiciones, talleres y juegos tradicionales. También, contará con un espacio musical donde participarán bandas, solistas y cantautores de la Región de Murcia, así como con talleres demostrativos y activities para todas las edades que will be carried out by close to 30 entities. Among them, the Centro de Educación Infantil ‘AEPIO’ that will impart the workshop ‘Family Tote Bag’, where the children who attend ‘La Seda Fest’ will be able to decorate a fabric bag and take it home as a gift.
The motto of this second edition, ‘Because the Family is everything: Everything in Family’, “captures that very important message that the experiences we share as a family are very valuable moments, not only for children, but also for adults, as they make us grow and evolve as people. Just what we are experiencing today at the AEPIO center, where parents, mothers, children, and even grandparents participate and have fun together,” highlighted Ruiz.
The counselor concluded the celebration of the AEPIO center by participating in the activity of ‘The Tree of Life’ and receiving a canvas decorated by the participating children.
Activities for all audiences
‘La Seda Fest’ will take place from 10:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, May 17, uninterrupted. The garden will be divided into different leisure areas, will have a space for live music to promote emerging artists from the Region of Murcia. It will also include storytelling and workshops on floral, breakdance, percussion, swing, urban art, and jewelry.
In the area known as ‘Auditorium’, a playground will be set up with discarded or discontinued materials to give them a second use through imagination and creativity, while in ‘La Pinada’, crafts will be made with recycled materials.
The attending public will also have a paid gastronomic area with foodtrucks, pastries, and various coffee options, as well as a market with craft brands and merchants.
