The Municipal Board of Pozo Estrecho has approved a series of actions in its latest meeting aimed at improving accessibility, the state of infrastructure, and energy efficiency.

Among the agreed measures, the improvement of accessibility at IES Galileo stands out, with the goal of facilitating access to the educational center for people with reduced mobility. Interventions will also take place on Cormorn street, where damaged sidewalks will be repaired, and at CEIP San Fulgencio, where patio tiles will be renewed to increase student safety.

“Inclusion starts by ensuring that everyone can access essential services on equal terms,” stated the President of the Board, Jos Manuel Valds.

Additionally, the Antonio Zamora square will be renovated, with a focus on modernizing this public space and enhancing its integration with the surroundings.

Regarding paving, it was announced that the renewal of the pavement on the regional road RM-311, at the entrance of the town, and on the accesses to the A-30 highway has already been managed with the Autonomous Community. Paving of several streets in the urban area is also planned to improve traffic flow.

Regarding public lighting, the Board already has a budget of 34,307 euros (VAT included) allocated to renew luminaires on four streets in the town and at the Santa Cecilia playground. Currently, they are awaiting quotes from at least three companies to choose the most viable option. The streets included in this action are Camino a Los Tropeles, Hernndez Amors, Luis Angosto, and Antonio Alonso, where new LED streetlights will be installed to improve energy efficiency and nighttime visibility.
