The Rock Imperium Festival in Cartagena, taking place from June 26 to 29 at the venue located in Cuesta del Batel, will offer a wide range of services such as shuttle buses, lockers, and a play area. The port city will host international artists like Scorpions, Till Lindemann, King Diamond, The Cult, Blind Guardian, In Flames, Stryper, and Airbourne.
VALIDATION OF WRISTBANDS AND SITE MAP
At the entrance to the venue, located in Cuesta del Batel near Puerta de San José Square, the wristband area and ticket office are situated. Attendees who have already purchased their tickets or festival pass will receive their access wristband in this space. They can do so on Wednesday, June 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.; while on Sunday 29, this area will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., as reported by municipal sources in a press release.
Although advance ticket sales are closed from this Wednesday, interested individuals can purchase their tickets and passes at the ticket office. It will remain open on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; from Thursday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.; and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
The venue will feature a food truck area, beverages, market stalls, merchandise, artist signings, among other spaces. The site map can be viewed on the festival’s website.
FREE PARKING AND SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE
The Cartagena City Council has set up a shuttle bus service from the Rock Imperium venue to the Rambla Shopping Center, where free parking has been made available for attendees to park their vehicles.
This bus service costs 1 euro per trip, payable on the bus itself, and will be operational from June 26 to 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a frequency of every 20 minutes; from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a frequency of every 10 minutes; from 10:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with a frequency of every 20 minutes; from 11:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with a frequency of every 10 minutes.
Additionally, for users arriving before the start of this special service, Line 3 Cartagena-Canteras, through Tentegorra, will connect the La Rambla Shopping Center to the festival venue following its regular itinerary.
For attendees coming from La Manga or other areas of the Region such as San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Los Alcázares (Line 1), and Murcia center (Line 3), a bus service has also been provided throughout the event, from early morning until late at night. CASHLESS AND LOCKERS
During their time at the festival, attendees can make purchases of food, beverages, and merchandise using the cashless system. Once they have obtained their wristband, they can go to the area after passing through the security checkpoint and top up with a credit card or cash, always in multiples of five euros. Attendees can withdraw any remaining money from July 1 through the festival’s official website.
Additionally, for security reasons, there is a list of items not allowed inside the venue. Lockers have also been made available next to the access control, where attendees can charge their phones and store items, except for those that are prohibited. There are three locker sizes, and these can be reserved per day, either through the festival’s website or at the venue.
PLAY AREA AND MINORS POLICY
The Rock Imperium festival is family-friendly. Children aged 0 to 3 have free access, while those aged 4 to 12 will have reduced entry. Any minor under 16 can only enter the venue accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Additionally, the venue will have a free play area for children aged 4 to 12. This area is located near the access control, and interested individuals must complete the form available on the festival’s website.
FESTIVAL TIMETABLES
The fourth edition of the event will feature a hundred musical performances on its two main stages over the four days of the event. International rock and metal icons will thrill the thousands of people traveling to Cartagena to enjoy the festival. Each day will feature live performances from 2:00 p.m. until the last concert ends.
Among the most anticipated performances by the audience are those on Thursday, June 26, the opening day of the event, when the Estrella Levante Stage will welcome the charismatic King Diamond and his band at 10:20 p.m. On Friday 27, at 10:00 p.m., this same stage will feature the legendary Scorpions, returning to Cartagena after electrifying attendees at the first edition of the event in 2022.
On Saturday, June 28, at 10:30 p.m., The Cult, creators of immortal anthems like ‘She Sells Sanctuary’ or ‘Fire Woman,’ will also take a journey through their musical career on the main stage of the festival. Finally, on Sunday, June 29, at 11:00 p.m., Till Lindemann, the lead vocalist of Rammstein, will take the stage to thrill rock fans from around the world attending the Cartagena festival.
